Oh, I see. I thought this was for scrolling games only, didn't realize it would effect my game if it has no scrolling. Thanks for the insight and the tutorial link!

Label already defined means the asm file may be defining a label that NES Maker is already using. For example, if you try to use Temp or myHealth as a new label in a script it would return this error. You can check lines 663, 672, and 680 in notepad++ to identify what labels are causing the errors. ...

You can use only one BckCHR tileset per screen (24 tiles), but you can also add one BckSSCHR to supplement it (8 more tiles for 32 total) a bit further as well as use some path tiles with the pathing system (set up 4 path types).

HUD not showing up on maps in the All odd number columns [User Error, not bug]

Map x 7, y 0 through Map x 7, y 15 all hide the hud for some reason. The hide hud flag is not checked. Its not happening in other maps, just ones in the X=7 column of maps on the overworld. Have not tested underworld. Using regular basic module, doing single screens without scrolling. EDIT: Update, ...

It seems any variable tile elements placed on the 5th or 6th line are displaced into the play area.
