What if I don't want the player to draw on top and I don't mind player being part of the flickering? How would I change the code. I have instances where my player goes behind sprites, such as behind bed sheets to sleep.

BASE_Adventure.MOD (Hud Causing Sprite Display Error in Row Below Hud)

Does anyone know why the row below the Hud would be displaying incorrect sprites on row below the hud when moving between left and right screens? This does not happen when moving to screen below or above current screen, only with screens to left or right.

Thanks Guys. I tried downloading the patch, but that didn't work. Problem remains. There is a solid on opposite side of next screen. So, I'll try BentPawGames' suggestion tomorrow after work.
