Feature Timeline

Has there been any sort of published release timeline for the rest of the modules and the music creation system from the Kickstarter? I've been away from the project for quite a while.

Re: Some ASM tutorials in regards to making NES Maker stuff

ASM is a procedural language. You're not going to see ifs or loops in ASM, at least not like you'd be familiar with from a high-level language.

Re: On the topic of scrolling

This is a very important feature, not only for the platformer style of game, but what about shoot-em-ups or spaceship games? I'd rather development of the tool continue past the designated release date, even push the release date back if necessary, to include a scrolling option.

Re: Fighting Game Engine

Ahh, I see. So it is technically doable, but the sprite limitation would limit the aesthetic. I guess I could do the RPG engine and go to a brawler style for the random encounters - Double Dragon style, as you mentioned. For now I'll just be patient and see what the engine allows come August. Fighting Game Engine

I know this wasn't a stretch goal, but does anyone think there will be a way of creating a decent fighting game engine in NES Maker? Obviously I'm not expecting something like Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo for SNES, but something workable that can potentially be inserted in to another style of game. ...

Re: Projectiles

Ahh, I see. So the game objects won't be able to use the same sub palette as the monster. I will test changing this later today and see if it makes a difference regarding the slow down and will edit this post accordingly to update. [UPDATE] I think the issue might have been that I didn't have the St...

Re: Projectiles

On the topic of projectiles, I'm experiencing some strange things with trying to have two different kind. Here's a summary: https://i.imgur.com/SrhxLKQ.png So I am going through the most recent tutorial video. The blue monster is shooting the correct projectile. The orange monster is the "stone" typ...

Screen Tiles not updating state

Following the tutorials again from start to finish, during the Screen Tile portion, I forgot to set the spike tiles to Solid. Exporting and testing allowed me to recognize this mistake. However, when I went back to the Assets and changed them to Solid - simple and clicked UPDATE, I then exported and...
