Re: Made "CutScenes Introduction Screens" (for between Start Screen and Playable Screens)

I think you could... because the "compile" menu launch the batch: "asm6 MainASM.nes game.nes demo.txt" But why would you do that outside of NESMaker... the better would be to use NESMaker to make your objects, write your code, and then compile the code to have the game.nes. If you want to do things...

Re: Made "CutScenes Introduction Screens" (for between Start Screen and Playable Screens)

Yes you could say it's like an IDE for 6502 programming... sort of. NESMaker comes with its own already coded engine. Then user can add graphics, make objects, sprites, tiles. But anyone can modify ALL the scripts, adapt them, add new code, write monsters IA, write a complete different physics or c...

Re: Made "CutScenes Introduction Screens" (for between Start Screen and Playable Screens)

NESmaker is basically an ASM6 frontend with accompanying code. you can freely edit any and all of it, hence this coding forum. Thanks. I was not aware of ASM6. You just helped me a great deal since I am teaching myself 6502 in general (not just for NES) and was wondering if anything exists that is ...

Re: Made "CutScenes Introduction Screens" (for between Start Screen and Playable Screens)

I thought you could not code in NESMaker... Was this feature added? I want to recreate a game intro cut scene by hand coding.

Re: NESMaker Coding Preview

Thank you.

I am aware of the Easy 6502 online "book". I was just hoping to have a more direct connection with learning NES 6502.

If I can ask general NES 6502 questions here that would be very helpful since this group is very responsive.

NESMaker Coding Preview

I have been doing Nerdy Nights tutorials at Nintendo Age and have so many fundamental questions about coding in 6502 ASM. I was wondering if NES Maker allows you to view the code that it generates when creating your game using the GUI. Does NESMaker allow you to do that?

Here the files: NESMaker 4.0.1: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hpgQXx_IaJVxN8qH3xkdKtFMY4PLhYno and still the 32bit dna.dll to use with, here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1...

Really HATE wine too!
I thought the French loved wine  ... I kid, I kid

This thread will hopefully lead me to be able to run NESMaker UNTIL it gets ported to Linux. I will at least do the tutorials and determine if NESMaker is for me.

It's fair to hate WINE, but I'm just trying to make it work until the NESMaker guys can get around to it. I'm working on a winepak flatpak to make it easier on people.
Awesome! Thanks for that!

Do you have any insight as to why I am getting that funky error with WINE?

If you rename dna.dll to DNA.dll, you can get mono to open the program up until you need to activate the app. It crashes as it does a P/Invoke into DNA.dll.
I didn't rename anything and got the same result. I think it probably has nothing to do with the file name.
