When i follow the instructions above using ADVENTURE MODULE Project, I get an error when using the Basic_NoScroll but it compiles for BASIC_021019. I guess i will use BASIC_021019 for adventure module then........? anyone have issues with this

I have been busy with life for the last few weeks, so have not kept up to speed on all the latest updates... I'm a little confused for this new core... If I want to make an ADVENTURE type game using GAME OBJECTS for weapon instead of SPRITES.... what is the best setup to follow? Do the BASE updates ...

Ideas on how to save / keep progress on death..

Any ideas how one might begin to save progress of a game, or at least not lose progress on death, for example if you've unlocked some projectile and gotten a sword but then you die, can you change what screen you restart at (maybe the screen you die on) and also keep any powerups/coins/weapons.

OK so i think i implemented all the script updates as you suggest and seems to be working now, only thing that doesn't work is the player ouch sound when gets hit by a monster. It looks like i should be using the SND_HURT_PLAYER to do it, as my HandlePlayerHurt script shows: Line LDA Object_health,x...

ok thanks, i am using the game object weapon so i will revert back step 4. But it looks like the monster drops are working now even with step 4 for my adventure module!

Is Step 4 only for sprite based weapon? It wasn't clear to me. Also I get an error when compiling with Step 4 as it doesn't recognize "temps" (right after play sound splat in the new code) is this a typo or is temps the correct word? Seems like maybe should be tempx or tempy?

Thanks Mugi for the feedback and encouragement. I did find an OBJ_MONSTER_DEATH which i have set to 9, the game object slot where my monster death poof is and still doesn't seem to be working. I should say the poofs work about 20% of the time, and then sometimes they show up in the HUD...not sure wh...

I agree with you vanderblade....i'm combing the forums trying to figure out why all the things that worked for me in 4.0.11 are broken in 4.1.x and it seems most of the comments on fb group are "start learning asm"....ummmm that was why i wanted to use Nesmaker so i don't have to learn ASM. Tempted ...
