60 FPS scrolling on NES games

Post by Kibegami81 » Sat Aug 11, 2018 12:01 am

Games like Castlevania, The Goonies II and Mega Man have inspired me a lot to make games but how is it to achieve smooth side scrolling on the Mapper 30 (I already know it's possible), can someone create a tutorial on this? Preferably the same kind of side-scrolling like Castlevania or Goonies II. Any help would be appreciated or I'd have to wait for a said module to be developed. I am still currently learning about 6502 at this moment.

Scrolling is a beast of an issue, and while there's some very rudimentary scrolling now, we're going to have to wait before we have anything even comparing to Castlevania or Goonies II style scrolling.
