Attack Cause Monster Action Step Advance?

I am trying to figure out a way to make it so when you melee a Monster it would advance to the next action step rather than (or in addition to) destroy it. Can someone point me in the right direction?

You could try to locate when the deactivate object is executed in te handle sprite weapon.
And replace it with a call to the change State ma do.
