Everything except player and background are absent on game launch

Hey, whenever I start my game the only thing on screen is my character. The only thing I did between the game working as normal and this issue was changing some of the HUD settings. Everything still has collision, you just can't see it. Help?

On the first screen, it looks like you haven't set your "Playable Area" (it should be the rest of your screen).
It might be your problem.

thanks, the interface for the hud was really confusing so I thought I had it set. I just think its weird that I need to click set, define the area, then click set again.
