How much space is there?

Im making a platformer,
and the tutorial got me thinking...
How big can I make it? And how do I tell how much memory I have left?

Eventually NESmaker will have a built in tool to show you how much space you have where, but right now you can check it using an external tool called the NES space checker. You can also see some of my research into the banks and what they do to get a bead on what goes where and how much is left over.
