If I'm not mistaken the biggest size of your animations determine the size of all animations. If your character in animation 1 has a width of 3 sprites and height of 3 height, but your animation 2 needs a size of 3x4 your animation 1 size has to be bigger too. In this case 3 sprites (colored red) are being wasted.
It would be great, if your animations could have independent sizes.
As you can also see some sprites are empty (colored orange) and are only contributing to the 8-sprites-per-line-limit and the overall limit of sprites per screen without contributing anything. If this could be prevented it would be awesome, but the main focus of my post is the first paragraph of my post.
