Joe Granato:
So, new tutorial up. I am curious what you guys think about using this sort of blog entry set up for this. Vimeo is a good option, since you can download your videos from there if you'd like.
Know that we are still working on the format, and these will probably get notably prettier, but we're seeing how they go for you.
We will be using the base module that we created in the Orientation video and then doing a series of smaller tutorials to teach some basic concepts for games in different genres.
Some of it is a tiny bit clunky, but we're trying to balance giving you resources to use and teaching you how to do them with explanation. Some people will want less explainer, and some more, so we're trying to play the middle and give enough hopefully without overwhelming you. And by the end, you'll have a bunch of modules to work with, AND you'll have a good idea how they work, since you did a lot of the building!
Let me know what you think of the approach!

** IMPORTANT NOTE! FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE ALREADY DOWNLOADED NESmaker AND DONE THE ORIENTATION VIDEO OVER THE WEEKEND, PLEASE FIND SOFTWARE PATCHES HERE BEFORE STARTING. IF YOU ARE STARTING FRESH AFTER 5pm ON JUNE 8th, THESE PATCHES ARE INCLUDED IN THE DOWNLOAD ALREADY: http://nesmakers.com/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=5317
