First, you need to install the drivers from the NESMaker/flasher folder
Here one of the topics about that: http://nesmakers.com/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=1693&p=10326

Running into problems as well. I, in theory, installed the drivers, but the install apparently failed.

Here's what I get from the DOS window when I try to flash a cart:

C:\NESmaker\NESmaker_4_1_0\Flasher\INL-retro-progdump_map30\host>inlretro.exe -s
scripts\inlretro.lua

Matching PID/VID found and opened, but unable to communicate to device, verify d
rivers installed!!!

freeing device list
deinitializing libusb
[ERROR] (source/inlprog.c:320: errno: Bad file descriptor) Unable to open INL re
tro-prog usb device handle.
Fatal error encountered, exiting.

C:\NESmaker\NESmaker_4_1_0\Flasher\INL-retro-progdump_map30\host>pause
Press any key to continue . . .

Have you tried the ones from the page linked in my post?
(not the same version than the one in the nesmaker.zip, I think).

I was given that link on Facebook, and downloaded it. I installed a couple times, and it seems like the drivers actually took this time. I had to run doth installers, so I don't know which actually did the trick.

However, now I have a new error. "Unable to accept erase command"

Like it cannot blank out the old cartridge. Though it did, Troll Burner is now gone from the cartridge image.

Looks like you have a folder problem, maybe some files are missing? (removed by the antivirus maybe?)
You should try to deactivate the antivirus and maybe unzip again the flasher folder from the newsmaker zip folder and replace yours. And try again.

I finally got mine to work. The magic combination appears to be to download and install the drivers from: https://gitlab.com/InfiniteNesLives/INL-retro-progdump/tree/master

... and to use the entire flasher directory that comes with 4.1.5. Even if you don't use 4.1.5 install, extract the zip file and pluck out the Flasher sub-directory.

Bumping this thread. So I'm finally able to connect to my cart using the command line, but I don't know what command I'm supposed to type to dump the contents of the ROM.

If you have the small flasher, take a look at that topic:
