RPG MAKER GUY HERE!!!

I have been an avid RPG Maker guy for 10+ years...but this seems absolutely amazing!!! Not that I will stop RPG Maker, but this will be a real nice alternative. I'm SO excited.
But I have one question. I haven't been able to find a straight answer online:
1. I know I will make games for friends and family (using their likeness and title the game after them), but if others want copies...can I sell my game? This isn't my sole purpose for designing a game, but I just can't seem to find a straight answer on this and would HATE to get caught up in some nasty thing with NINTENDO.

From the FAQ:

When you get NESmaker, you can do anything you wish with the resulting game. You do not owe us any royalties to use our engines. The only thing you can not do is use elements of others' IPs (you can't make a Zelda game or a new Pokemon or a demake of Destiny...original ideas only, please!)

From everything I've read and watched on YouTube, this isn't a WHOLE lot different than MPG Maker. Is that a fair ascension?
