Greetings from Scotland.

Been plugging away at various code based systems for a few years now including the Amstrad CPC, Commodore Amiga, and even PC based things like Gamemaker. I'm pretty awful at all of them so NesMaker looks like a nice break from all the hardcore programming.

I'm a musician/sound engineer by trade, so I'm especially looking forward to trying my hand at composing using the NES sound gear.

Cheers!

Hey welcome Kitsune Mifune
Glad to have you here with us. Yeah, NESmaker is a great tool for making small projects focusing of graphics or music.... or even coding if you are good at it ;)
My advice before starting using it, watch ALL the tutorial videos, to klearn how it works, how to do, ... and make your first NES games.
Have fun !

Ah yes, Welcome.

For sound, Famitracker is the tool to use. It is a little complicated to learn the basics, but once you understand some of the concepts it's really intuitive. If you are having any trouble with Famitracker feel to post about your issues in the music and sfx section
