Sprite Limit/Flickering Routines

Hi everyone!

I've been scrolling through here to get ideas for a game I'm working on (well more like practicing) and I've managed to update my Scrolling Platformer core nicely with the help of suggestions through this forum. There are a few threads on here about Flickering routines in which I'm not totally familiar with but I understand this method allowed for more sprites to be drawn to one line by alternating when they are drawn.

Maybe this is an advanced code to write, I'm not sure. I don't think I'll figure it out on my own so I was hoping someone may be able to point me to the best resource here on the forums or maybe provide some tips for where to begin with this task?

Perhaps the default modules will include a routine for flickering in the future, but I still wonder if it might be over my head to begin coding it myself.
