Monster Palette Question (SUB 2)

Hello,
I am unsure who to engage the 2nd monster palette in a screen. In this example, I wish to make a brown wolf enemy using sub1 and green animated thorns on sub 2.
I thought at first monster 1 and 2 were assigned to sub1 and 3 and 4 were assigned sub 2 but this did not engage the 2nd subpalette.

I attached some screens to help.
Showing current screen along with the palette screen options and what I want the final result to be.

Thanks!

You set the subpallet your monster object sprites use in the monster object editor itself, not in screen details. Or rather, the subpallet SLOT. You can choose to set each 8x8 pixel tile to 1 of the 2 subpallet slots when you're creating your monster by clicking on the subpallet slot itself, then you actually set the pallet colors in Screen Details.
