Underground Adventure is a game that is actually
worthy of my praise.
The concept is simple: navigate through underground
caves while avoiding enemies as you collect diamonds.
The game opens to an interesting cinematic cutscene,
accompanied by the use of CutterCross' recognizable
music techniques.
There's not much I can really say about this one, as
new enemies, obstacles and other mechanics are
introduced properly as the player progresses through
the game. My only criticisms are the fact that you only
get one life, so it might be frustrating for some, given
that you have to start the game all over again. And I
think there was one glitch in which I clipped through the
floor while falling from a ladder, and died. (Or maybe
I touched an enemy when I fell. I don't know.)
Simply put, although Underground Adventure is not
perfect, it is a MAJOR improvement over PressStart.
Final Score: 8/10
