What features or capabilities would you want the most out of RGF? 4 way scrolling? More NES modules? SNES modules? GEN modules? I'm really hoping this reveal on the 25th is going to be mind blowing!!! No way this will disappoint, I'm sure it'll deliver the goods, especially when it comes to NES development. A second go at the NES end of things, I'm sure it will be a huge upgrade from NESmaker. Anyways, just curious what peoples thought are on this.

My main hope is that the SNESmaker is at least as good as nesmaker is now. That would be awesome. And that the new NESmaker is more beginner friendly so more people make nes games.

I hope the new NESmaker will be more customizable, as in like if you want to make a run and gun shooter, the object/tile collision script will be more efficient and less taxing on the engine when putting projectiles and enemies on the screen. But we really have no clue what will be unveiled. It might be that we will need to build our games entirely from scratch for all we know. Maybe not even any module to work from. But oh yeah, I have a really cool idea for a SNES game. I hope I can jump right into it and start hammering out my vision! A fully functional SNES module to work from would be awesome indeed!

Im really keen to see the first generation of SNESmaker games. Im making my first NESmaker game atm so will be a while before I start on the SNES sequel. Maybe you can make a beat em up on SNES instead?

@JayJayHux Oh, yeah! I definitely have the beat em up genre in mind for it!!! Might have to be NES though, since @SciNEStist is doing that beat em module. Can't let that work of art go to waste....
Good point, I know your waiting for beat em up module cause im a lurker haha.
Im keennto see whichever version you end up making.
A beat em up on the NES would be more impressive but either would be cool.

@JayJayHux What about your next game idea? What would you want to do???
Im keeping it pretty simple.
I love platformer/metroidvania/adventure games.
When I finish or get very far into my NES game I want to make the 16bit sequel. Like Mario 3 and Super Mario World.
Or Megaman and Megaman X.
So yes, im really excited for SNESmaker in particular.

Would love to build meta-tiles with 4 individual 8x8 tiles rather than 16x16 to open up more possibilities for graphics!

For example, instead of drawing a pyramid like this;

You can draw its graphics like this! (and then build them into 16x16 tiles!)

I stayed up until almost 3am watching that video last night and I was super impressed by RGF!
I would love to join the early adopters but I fear me still being new to NM (I'm working on my first game)
will disqualify me. :(
