Question about transparent palette color (4.5.9)

Hey everyone, so I feel a bit silly for asking what I feel is such a noob question after being a couple weeks into a project but...
I'm trying to work on my title screen, and I thought I could choose a different color for the transparent color of the palette. In NESMaker, it looks fine:
monarch title1.png
but when I try the game, the blue is replaced with black:
monarch title2.png
Is there something I'm doing wrong? Is the transparent color really not something we can use in this way? And if so, are there any suggestions for how to get it to look how I want?
Thanks in advance! I've really enjoyed working on this and checking the Discord, forums and Facebook group to see what everyone is up to. Can't wait for us all to play everything we've been working on!

Hey there!
This is a NESMaker bug, but fortunately was solved by Dale Coop.

[4.5] Quick fix for the 1st screen/sprite color palette issue

Ha, I was hoping this was the case. Also, I had been using different transparent colors in my stages and noticed that it was only black for the first level, after the screen scrolled over to the next screen the colors worked.
Thanks so much for pointing me towards the info!

And thanks for the compliment! I was pretty pleased with how that turned out!

No problem.
I personally think that your approach for a monarch as a character for a horizontal shooter is a very fresh idea.
Can't wait to play the game!
