Modules?

Post by gogreyhound » Fri Aug 10, 2018 8:17 pm

Am I missing something?

I thought the idea of NES Maker was a system of modules that could be easily skinned and manipulated.
From what I can tell, this is just a limited version of GameMaker.

Did I miss something? There isn't alot of reading that comes along with the program, and the video tutorials aren't really answering the questions I seem to have.

Currently, NESMaker has only the basic Topdown module. But other modules are on the way.
Joe showed here a video with a soon-to-come plateform module:

And here a “schedule” of modules to be released:

Tonight, I managed to make my own simple "plateform" module, mixing the scripts that come with NESMaker and some I made with the beta:

There will be more coming from this program. We just need to give it time since we only got a fresh official release recently. Let's not rush it but only be patient, our questions will be answered on each update given to us in the future.
