Hello fellow NES dreamers!
I finally got around to watching a few tutorials to give this amazing software a go. It was fairly easy to pick up but you definitely need to pay attention to small details of location and order. You can easily get lost with palettes and assets. I have no programming experience but did study a little animation and 3d in college. I have many ideas and no outlet or time to vent this craving to create games. I dabble in 2d graphic design and some 3d character design (not much lately) but I mostly create concepts to scratch that artistic itch.
I have messed around a little with NESmaker and love the results so far. Here are a couple of screens from my game so far. I have some heavy inspiration from a new NES title called Micro Mages and I am planning on changing this tile set completely. I just needed some reference to get my feet wet. I created all of the art but like I said it is heavily influenced by Micro Mages.
Looking forward to check out all of the many many questions that have already been answered to help make my game the best it can be. Nice meeting you all!
