Text in Cutscenes with 2 Players?

I'm currently trying to add text to cutscenes. Using Dales 2 player platformer module... Do i need an ai that triggers text and the text to switch to the next thing on a timer? The 2 player module has locked player controls on flagged screens so i also don't know how it will advance the text on these screens. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

The "b_activate_text_box.asm" input script works on cutscene too (its code is not disabled nor skipped).
