Feedback needed to get started on fighting game.

So I haven't used NESmaker since 4.0.0. I really would like to make a fighting/Double Dragon game. I wanted to get some feedback on if you were to do the same, what module would you go with and why? Any help would be great. Thank you!

Or if you're not in a hurry, wait until the 5.0... a lot of features that will help you.
