I started NESmaker a couple weeks (months) ago but have put endless hours into it.
Here's what i have so far. It's simple but i enjoy it.
Theres a link to a short demo with a basic level and a town that saves and an easy boss fight.
at the top of the post. The game uses object weapon and projectile with
projectiles limited to 1 on screen.In the town you can speak to the people,
go fight the boss,go right to the boss's treasure room and get (nothing for now)then return to the people
for your thanks..
I would say i'm aiming for a game that's sorta
like Faxanadu/Legacy of the Wizard/Athena/and Wing of Madoola .


The music and sounds and most graphics are mine but some graphics
are still stock NESmaker graphics.

You can crouch and a jump.

All these things are subject to change and betterment.I've only been at it for
a lil' while but i have been able to refine most of what i have so far and will
continue to build on it.Thanks to everyone here and your posts and tutorials.

What i'm working on:

Crouching Fixeded

Melee object weapon staying with my character(i was able to do this with sprite based weapon)Did

Jump attack/projectile animation working with weapons (i cant make it do the jump/weapon animation,it just does the ground animation) Yup

Making a monster solid, like to be a stationary block

Different armor "visually" for the players character : Done!

A player weapon/pet that can be called out(probly easy)

Not shooting both projectiles immediately Did it

Figuring out how to ask a monster if its been hit by melee,or was it hit by projectile Achieved




Added:
New weapon with new damage (spikey sword)
New character armor upgrade (headband of jogging)
Choice select on title screen(does nothing for now)
Animated objects on title screen
Autotext for (cutscenes eventually) the boss fight

I've updated quite a bit. I have 2 levels,fixed alot of stuff,some new baddies,also new music.Please enjoy and give me any feedback.

For now, to get into the cave, you simply kill the enemies near the entrance.The cave is east from the blobboss.But instead of entering the cave,
you could go north from there instead.Try it out!The game is made to backtrack.
