Hello,
I am a fairly new user using this incredible software (NESMAker) trying to understand the basic operation of certain things. I have created a first test project based on the Metrovania module and where I have added some scripts for scrolling between screens of the Platforms module. Sorry for the graphics...I am starting and this is only a test.
Here I have some doubts due to the result:
- As the screens scroll, I see that they maintain the color palette for the background of the first screen. This is correct? Is there a way to force each screen to load its color palette (the one used in the editor)? If, for example, the first screen uses brown bricks and the second gray bricks, both are shown with brown bricks and this is not desired since I am interested in varying the colors of each screen even if they are consecutive...is it possible or is the NES limited? ?
- Do consecutive screens all have to have the same "tile layout" (Double Main - No HUD, Normal (main/screen/path) etc...)? In the example that I have created by having it different, it paints incorrect sprites and images appear that are not the ones that I have painted in the editor (it is solved by matching the tile layout of the two screens. Is it another limitation of the NES or am I doing something wrong?
Thank you very much in advance for your help.
Greetings
